Dan Gordon

Dan Gordon has been playing guitar and writing songs for over 10 years and it was only last year that he took the plunge to go out on the live music circuit.

At first he starting performing at a few local open mic nights. This gave Dan the confidence he needed to further his horizons with gigs soon following supporting Hazel O’Connor, The Troggs and Tom Hingley of the 90’s band Inspiral Carpets. As well as these support slots Dan has performed at Bandalism Bournemouth and recently at Portsmouth Victorious Festival.. Dan’s live set includes a great selection of well written original songs as well as a couple of cleverly reworked covers.

His voice can honestly be described as sounding a little like Michael Jackson…..just listen, you will know what I mean, but don’t worry he won’t be putting on silver gloves, doing the moonwalk or buying a pet chimp called bubbles just yet! The voice has a really unique tone unlike anything else you would have heard locally and at this early stage I am sure there is much more development to come as his music career progresses.

Dan Gordon

In November he releases a four track self titled EP, along with a launch party at the Anvil. Here you will see Dan performing as part of a three piece band including his friends and fellow musicians Lloyd Allen and Ant Lewis. After seeing him impressing us at various local events we invited Dan to come along to the Hope FM studio for an acoustic session and a revealing interview all about this talented young singer. He performed four exclusive live solo tracks, showing off his impressive vocal range and unique guitar style. Rock Regeneration’s Jon was on hand to shoot the videos which can be seen below.
