Bournemouth four-piece Indie band “Cherry Lotus” release the follow up to their excellent last single “Fake Leather Attitude” on the 2nd August. The new tune is called “Jetlag” and frontman Joe explains that it “encapsulates the feeling of not knowing where to turn following the end of a relationship, whilst the other person was having fun away on holiday”. The lyrics describe the uncertainty of the future back at home whilst the music can’t help but feel hopeful and triumphant”.
As with the last single the band feature their huge sound with some well crafted effect-driven guitars, coupled with infectious rhythms. The song has a real Summer vibe to it with fresh uplifting vocals and the ability to get under your skin after a couple of listens. “Jetlag” has been a staple part of the band’s live set for a while now and become a firm favourite at the many gigs that the band have played so far this Summer. It even got a special acoustic performance at a local open mic night in Bournemouth last month, where the band stripped back the tune to the format where it was first written. Their next live outing is at the Joiners in Southampton on 8th August supporting ‘Sexy Pretty Things’
