The Sherling Studio at The Lighthouse, Poole
on Wednesday 3rd April at 8pm
Following another sell-out show last month, the Live & Unheard showcase for original music talent is back at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, on Wednesday 3rd April with three more great acts.
Topping the bill are melodic pop-rock band We Are Robot who released their debut album Ghostbuskers in 2015. The band formed in 2014 and is made up of three college friends ñ lead singers Chris Ralph and Paul Denson with drummer Sam Kay, and Vijay Amarnani, a well-established rock bassist from the 1970s.
Soulcreek are an electro/acoustic duo formed in May 2014 by lifelong friends Benjamin James Parker, who is 26 and plays lead guitar, and 23-year-old Jack Francis Daniel Lande who also plays guitar. With a musical style that blends rock, blues and a touch of modern country with two guitars and one voice, to date they have played more than 200 gigs in all manner of venues. The first Soulcreek release is expected later this year.
Issy Whitlock is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Bournemouth where she attends LeAF Studio School for the performing arts and will feature in the upcoming production of Legally Blonde in July. She can be seen playing solo and alongside her duo partner Max Elmore (The Basement Duo) at various venues throughout Bournemouth and Poole. Hangover Hill are inviting bands and artists interested in performing to contact the studio at hangoverhill@gmail.com.
Live & Unheard will return on the first Wednesday of the month featuring:
Wednesday 1st May – 27 Days + Robert Lowe + Solcura + Creeke
