The band have had an incredible reaction so far to their “Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It” album, including the below from Stereogum editor Michael, who placed the band/album in the top 20 albums of the year so far lists…

“There are no words. Literally: There is no category expansive enough to claim Rolo Tomassi, and no album comparable to Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It. Itís punishingly heavy, but sweet as nectar. Itís claustrophobically dense, but wide open as the sky itself. Love Will Bury It would seem to embarrass its peers, but beyond superficial similarities, nobody else is in this league ó not now, not ever. Love Will Bury It almost reinvents the very concept of “the album” and reduces to ash entire genres of music. It’s an extraordinary work of art, not just a highlight of this year, but a thing for the ages: maybe a seminal statement in a genre that does not yet exist, maybe a collection that will forever stand apart from such classification. Irrespective of exactly how it is remembered, it should serve as an inspiration for upcoming generations of ìheavyî musicians, but it obviously canít be equalled. It can barely be imitated. Calling it a ìfuture classicî seems like a half-measure. It will seem no less extraordinary in “the future” but that’s beside the point: Itís clearly a classic on arrival”

The band also scored SO high with the record, it is the current number 1 highest rated album of the year on Meta Criic (with 92/100), which takes into account reviews from the likes of Kerrang! (5/5), NME (4/5), The Guardian (4/5), Drowned In Sound (8/10), DIY Magazine (4/5), Music OMH (9/10 and many more.
