Hailing from Poole in Dorset singer/songwriter Tara Flanagan has just released her new single “Let Your Guard Down”. The tune follows the release of her debut EP “The Game” and was created while Tara is in her final months of doing a degree at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. At this early stage of her career Tara has already achieved many ambitions which include performing at the BBC Introducing Live Lounge and the House of IKons fashion show at London Fashion Week through Britrox TV. She has also performed to an estimated 25000 people at the London Barrio Fiesta. There have also had support slots with American Soul, R&B group Shalamar, and Rebecca Ferguson at The Concorde in Southampton.
The new single shows a new progression with an exciting sound that Tara has been working on. It was created with the production and bright, well put together music video (see below) by the South Coast based Harrison Perks at HP Music (https://www.hp-music.co.uk). The song as Tara explains “combines vulnerability; (lyrically and vocally), on top of dark electronic beats that give the song an exciting drive”. The track gives off an infectious energy that is usually hard to capture within a studio environment – her varied vocal range is equally impressive. ‘Let Your Guard Down’ is a refreshing slice of modern pop music from a talented young lady who has a bright future.
