Unit 10 Holton Heath Trading Park, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6LF
21st November 2015
A handful of bands in the Poole and Bournemouth will have already used the facilities over at Freestyle in Holton Heath (near Poole), and many more will have at least seen the name around thanks to their sponsorship of last year’s Henfest Festival and the recent Bournemouth Oxjam takeover. But what is all the noise about?
This Saturday (21st November) Freestyle will fully open their doors to the public for the first time to show off their suite of 5 purpose built band rehearsal rooms, 3 room recording studio, performance area and impressive shop floor (which boasts a stock of almost 800 guitars). During the day there will be live music on the main stage from the likes of No Direction, Chris Taylor, Tom Clements, Will McNicoll, The Darwins and world renowned acoustic guitarist Chris Woods. There will also be a chance to have a taster guitar or drums lesson in one of the rehearsal rooms, try out a guitar, amp or pedal from the Freestyle range and there will also be an opportunity for mini musicians to get involved with taster sessions with the new pre-school kids group.
The event will also be the maiden voyage of the impressive performance area which plays host to a stage that will give any other medium sized venue in the area a run for its money in terms of sound, lighting and capacity. There is plenty going on during the day which runs from 10:00 until 16:00, entry and parking is free and refreshments will be available on site. Freestyle is just a 2 minute walk from Holton Heath train station or a few minutes drive outside Poole, just take the Wareham exit from the Bakers Arms roundabout and follow the signs or visit http://www.freestyle.guitars/ to see the full range of products (all of which will have 20% off during the day) and for full details.
