Saturday Sun, considered by many as the flagship band of Swanage have made some major changes recently, as they draw a line under their acclaimed work and launch an exciting new project “AThousandFurs”.
Now a three-piece consisting of Saturday Sun’s core members Alex, Bill & Allan, the new outfit promises to retain some of the trademark sounds that caught the attention of major national publications such as The Guardian, Q Magazine, and the Financial Times; with some new influences thrown in. They’re currently recording with John Cornfield who’s previous clients include Supergrass, Robert Plant, Stone Roses, Oasis and Muse – so expect big things from your favourite local band as they embark on a slightly direct musical direction.
So far they have revealed only a short and atmospheric teaser video so we’ll need to wait a little longer before we really hear what’s up their sleeves – however they’ve wasted no time in embarking on a seven date tour of the UK with the rising Post/Rock “cinema masters” Nordic Giants. You will be able to catch them at one of the following dates in May.

3rd Brudenell, Leeds
4th Village Underground, London
5th Deaf Institute, Manchester
6th Cottiers Theatre, Glasgow
8th Contemporary, Nottingham
9th Concorde 2, Brighton
