The organiser of Poole’s Beer & Bluegrass Festival local promoter Martin Hickman is putting on a one-off winter gig at St. Aldhelms Hall in Branksome, Poole on the 16th November. The Gig will feature Old-Time, Bluegrass, & Country Music band d The Local Honey’s. Following their hugely successful appearance at this year’s Beer and Bluegrass, The Local Honeys (Kentucky USA) return for a very special evening of Bluegrass at St. Aldhelms HALL just opposite Branksome Rail Station.
The Local Honeys are Linda Jean Stokley and Montana Hobbs, both hail from the green rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky, the traditional home of Bluegrass. They blend old-time songs and stories of yesteryear with their own high-quality self-penned originals. Their rise has been meteoric, they are hugely popular both in USA and now in Europe.
There will be hot food and drink on sale, with Hot Veggie Chili and Baked Potatoes (Beer and Bluegrass style!) and two cask Real Ales and fresh Cider provided by our friends from Dorset Sunshine.
