The Levellers have just released the latest instalment of their project to record a video for every track from their recently released album, Static On The Airwaves.
Mutiny tells the story of the 1917 Étaples Mutiny by British troops in France during the First World War, and in particular that of its exectuted ‘leader’ Corporal Jesse Robert Short. The video was produced by Rich Mulryne and Emma Birchett.
Levellers are currently on a major UK tour throughout November 2012. They are inviting fans with tickets to any of the gigs who sing or play an electric instrument (not guitar) to apply to take part in the finale performance of ‘The Recruiting Sergeant’.
Those wishing to apply should email info@dmfmusic.co.uk with the date they wish to apply for and the instrument they play. Succesful applicants will need to be familiar with the song, and able to pass a simple audition at 6.30pm on the day of the show.
Remaining tour dates are below.
