News: Upton House Food & Music Festival 14th-16th June
April 6, 2024
With early bird bargains to be snapped up, Upton House Food and Music Festival is set to get summer off to a tasty start – and it won’t break the bank. Promising big flavours and even bigger tunes, the popular three-day family-friendly festival is back again this year with the perfect blend of top UK tribute acts and some of the region’s finest food and drink producers in the beautiful grounds of Upton House with its shoreline views over Poole Harbour.
“What better way to celebrate great food from around the world than with a soundtrack of music by some of the world’s greatest artists?” asks festival organiser Serena Wren. “It’s an amazing site – not too big, not too small – and we’ve got a brilliant line-up of top tributes with even more food and drink, including fabulous local producers. There’s entertainment for kids every day and we’ve kept the prices down. “This has to be the best value festival out there!”
Super early birds tickets start at just £12 for families, £5 for adults and a just £1.50 for kids; with full three-day weekend tickers priced from £34 for families, £14 adults and £4 children. “Our regulars love the mix of great live music and quality food and drink – it’s a proper ‘something for everyone’ event,” adds Serena. “We can safely say there’s nothing quite like Upton House Food and Music Festival!”
Foodies will be able to sample flavours and treats from around the world including traditional Asian cuisine with a western twist from The Bao Bao Beast, the sensational Greekery street food, Montien Thai from Bridport, and amazing Mauritian street food from The Island Box.
To wash it down look out for Poole’s very own marine marvel that is Shanty seaweed botanical vodka cocktail, not to mention the buzzing Zzinga Honey Cider and the hand-crafted organic Pothecary Gin.
The music bill features tributes to Oasis, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Queen, Stereophonics and Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as Foo Fighters, Any Winehouse and Madness. Plus, there’s a strong bill of local acts topped by those ukulele-wielding party starters Mother Ukers and internationally renowned covers outfit The Transitions, alongside ever-popular rock radio stars SOS, stellar local rockers Chris Payn and Jordan Watts, and breakthrough artist Charley Varley.
