featuring Feast Of Fiddles, The Two Man Travelling Medicine Show & Plastic Jeezus

For the last few years, many local (and not so local) acts have wowed audiences at the monthly Live And UnHeard events which have been marvelously supported by audiences that are actively interested in the new, original music creators that are beginning to make their mark. This event gives two of those acts a chance to appear on the same bill as a major established act that constantly tours around the world to a fanbase of hundreds of thousands, hosted by one of the top venues in the country.

Feast of Fiddles

Live & Unimited: Feast of Fiddles

Feast of Fiddles was born on Valentine’s Day 1994, put together by Hugh Crabtree as a one-off ensemble to fill a date at Nettlebed Folk Club. Little did he know then that the band would still be going strong in 2021 – twenty-five annual tours (two were postponed due to COVID-19), 7 CDs, and 25 festival appearances later. What started as a special project got a life of its own and both the band and the audiences have thoroughly enjoyed the ride over the ensuing 27 years.

The Two Man Travelling Medicine Show

Live & Unimited: The Two Man Travelling Medicine Show

Dorset’s finest folk punk crossover band is back with their second album Going Nowhere Fast. Written and recorded during 2020 in an open barn in Witchampton, Dorset. Twisted lyrics and fairground sounds are the order of the day with this acclaimed 8 piece band and now with an added drummer expect even more mayhem at the live shows. Frantic and ramshackle but wonderfully so. Two Man Travelling Medicine Show are a perfect storm of roots music, bluegrass stomps played with a punk swagger, pastoral folk taken on a white-knuckle ride on an out-of-control cider cart. Country-core? Cow-punk? Who knows?

Plastic Jeezus

Live & Unimited: PlasticJeezus

Bournemouth-based duo, Simon (ukulele) and Aaron (bass) have been bringing their unique brand of uptempo wryness to the masses for the last few years. With original tunes that’ll get stuck in your head, rhythms that’ll make you want to dance, and lyrics that’ll make you laugh out loud, Plastic Jeezus are guaranteed to bring a smile to audiences’ faces.
