Following on from her single “Penny Games”, Bournemouth singer/songwriter Taya Minchington this month releases “Indigo”. The tune was recorded with the able assistance of Matt Black at Hangover Hill recording studio in Blandford.
The single has already received ahead of its release a considerable amount of radio airplay on BBC Radio Solent, Forest FM, Vulcan Radio and Glastonbury FM. Taya is also prolific on the live music circuit having played over 60 gigs so far this year at a host of festivals and live music venues.
The naturally talented young artist wrote the song about contrasts and explained: “it is about a brief connection with someone, something that didn’t last, but was so beautiful and painful in the moment.” The tune features some delicate string work and a powerful vocal that gives you a snapshot of a youthful relationship that made such an impression that she decided to record it for eternity. Her voice emits a deep emotion and portrays just how she is feeling on this rollercoaster of an experience. It is difficult not to be moved by “Indigo” and the sentiments it delivers.
