Concluding its resoundingly successful first season, Live & Unheard, the monthly showcase for original music talent returns with three more unsigned acts at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the arts, on Wednesday 3rd July. Barefoot Soul are Jim Bryant, Jon Beale, Paul Balantyne, Martin Caroll and Matt Sawyer, five young men from Bournemouth that really know how to put on a show and keep the audience entertained with boundless energy and delightful banter. Their sweet combination of rock, blues and modern pop is not to be missed.

Inspired by Frank Turner, The Levellers, country and traditional folk, Matt Griffith’s sets are often very varied. A gifted songwriter with thought-provoking lyrics, he collaborates frequently with local artist Helena Mace and has also worked with Tom Leary from the folk rock supergroup Feast Of Fiddles.

Jade Norris is just completing her studies at Bournemouth Academy of Modern Music and released her first single ‘Unkind’ in 2018. Her first professional recording work was for Spamalot composer John Du Prez when she was only 12. She is influenced by soul, r&b and jazz which is highlighted in her vocals and is a talented songwriter. She has just accepted a place at the British and Irish Modern Music (BIMM Institute in Brighton where she is sure to make her mark.

Live & Unheard will take a break in August and returns to Lighthouse on 4th September. Hangover Hill will host a battle of the bands event on 1st August at the Cricketers Arms in Wimborne with a slot at stake on the Live & Unheard Christmas Special bill.
