“Lost In The Noise”: On the surface – Modern Error’s, “Lost In The Noise”, is written in three parts, all dictated by the idea of self-war and personal change. Those three parts? Lack of belief, loss of purpose and hiding a true self behind a false self and finally, separating from your true self. In other words, the downward trajectory of a toxic state of mind, feeling you canít be a part of the world. Visually inspired by surreal cinema, with Lost In The Noise, Modern Error wanted to create a world that portrays the fragile destructiveness of these feelings, making for a dark but beautiful experience.
Lotus Eater are a band that represent the sound of a generation left to rot in the margins. Hailing from the streets of Glasgow – a city where nearly half of young people live in urban poverty – the quintet combine remorseless, down-tuned groove and claustrophobic atmosphere to utterly traumatising effect. Lotus Eater is a culture, a society, an emotion; your slasher film nightmare in aural form; a bellicose roar from the bottom of the deep: fuck you. The bandís frenzied, unhinged live catharsis has already won them a legion of fans, each one simply seeking unfettered honesty in a world where the ugly truth is expected to give way to a handsome lie. With the release of new single ëBreak Ití, the band become the first heavy British band to sign to Hopeless Records (Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice) in the labelís 25-year history. They are only just getting started.
