desc. Sertraline is an antidepressant used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder and anxiety.
Opening with “Guilty” Lizzies vocals ring out and give additional texture to the guitar work while the drums get pounded. The vocals change from clean to a more guttural in brief display of power. As the track progresses the, like an alter-ego trying to escape, the guttural becomes more apparent, as the track clings on almost not wanting to end. This is followed by “Snakes” following on in similar vein to “Guilty”, there is something a little more addictive about “Snakes”. The tempo is faster, and it hooks you in. The break in the middle slows things down, but this is soon shattered as clean and guttural vie for your attention.

There is something about this band. A freshness, perhaps even a raw nerve? Their brand of metal and rock is not simply in your face, but there are elements that make it stand out, the screamo elements to the vocals do not overtake, but are handled just right, and the groove keeps you hooked. There is an energy and power, but not forced or over cooked. All just right. Well worth checking out.
