Single Release: “Faux Embrace” by Xander & The Keys

Xander and the Keys are set to release their 3rd Single “Faux Embrace” on the 11th February. The song is inspired from a poem by Abdul Rauf Benlagha and in his words “Faux embrace was born out of a false connection one can sometimes have with reality. This, in part was observed through the malaise of being a mature adult”. Deep words indeed but I can’t help think that many who listen to the song will totally understand exactly what he means from personal experiences.
The single is quite a departure from anything that the band have released before and the first with the band’s new line up. The single kicks off with a little ambient bass before Xander’s intense vocals kick in alongside some impressive layered guitars. The tune has a huge amount of depth and with each listen you can hear something different going on. The combination of a more pronounced rhythm section and some impressive guitar work shows a great new direction from the band who are set to release the single via the signup platform in connection with Island records.
The band have announced a tour to coincide with the single release on the following dates:
