Sanford Music Factory

I’ve been looking forward to this album since I reviewed their first opus Awen back in 2013.
Sanford Music factory ply their trade in San Sadurnio, Spain but have made the decision to sing in English which I think complements their music well. It is always hard for foreign bands not to sing in their native tongue but in this day and age if you want to make yourself more successful you have to break the boundaries of international borders.

Regardless of nationalities, music doesn’t discriminate, Stanford really know how to belt out a cracking rock tune. Retro seventies classic rock is obviously a huge influence on these guys but like rival sons and The Temperance Movement they do it on their own terms and inject their own personality into the vein of rock giving it a much needed shot in the arm.

Sanford Music Factory

The album has a very laid back approach to it conjuring up images of lazy days cruising about in an open top convertible on the open road, with the sun drenched olive groves one side and a glistening sea and golden beach on the other. This is quality rock music played very loose with a passion. Standout tracks for me are Behind the Mirror, Dust, Sweat & Love and the beautiful Beatlesque Fade Blue Away.
