Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate

I always get a bit excited when I get the chance to listen to new material by an artist I like. One who I have followed from a far (not wanting to sound creepy!) is “Hat’s Off”.

“Head In A Jar” opens with Malcolm’s distinctive edgey vocals. Whereas “Glass Litium” opens with a soundscape I was slightly taken a back, their previous material has always possessed a cinematic feel, but this takes that one step further. Dare I say it, it had almost a Jean Michel Jarre vibe in places.

Whereas “Glass Lithium” has more of a dance feel to the sound, but one that soon turns to more of a osunscape.

As a taster for what is to come this is a very big piece of bait. With a sound just as edgy as previous material, there is now the added dimension of the Electronica. From “Glass Lithium” there is more of a Prog vibe surrounding the Ep.

With the exception of “Maggie’s Farm” the other tracks are from the forthcoming album “When The Kill Code Fails”.

…now what happened to that zombie movie they were doing…?
