After a lot of very hard work from Gemma Varnfield, Chinners and their team of volunteers, we can now announce that the Bournemouth Oxjam will take place on the 18th October. The event will take place over seven local venues: Mr Kyps, The Winchester, DYMK, The Anvil, The Inferno, 60 Million Postcards and Chaplin’s, featuring the cream of local talent. To be part of this annual event and to help raise much needed funds for Oxjam, buy your wristband for just £6 here.
This wristband will give you entry to all the official Oxjam music venues as well as getting you free bus travel on Wilts & Dorset “More” buses throughout the evening and into the early hours. All the singers and bands that are playing are listed below, with approximate timings which could be subject to change; so keep a close eye on the Facebook page for all the up to date information. There will be a launch party at the Orange Rooms in Bournemouth on Wednesday 1st October featuring Red River Hogs, The Jimmy Hillbillies, Stamford Road and Ironic Encounter. Also, listen to Hope Fm 90.1 or http://www.hopefm.com on Wednesday 15th October between 7-8:45pm for a special Oxjam-themed show featuring live performances from Charlie Woodford, Jack Grace and Drew Allen. Gemma, Chinners and the team are really looking forward to welcoming you all on the 18th October to what will surely be a fantastic day of live music that raises lots of money for a very worthy cause.
