EP: “Live At David’s Hall” by Tom Clements
September 30, 2014
Three years ago Tom Clements followed a dream and gave up his full time job to become a touring musician, he plays in a band called Tom & The Clementynes and also regularly performs solo. This gamble seems to have really paid off as he has forged a new living performing some 160 gigs a year, at Weddings, Birthday Parties, pubs and music venues all over the UK.
Tom has released a brand new 5 track live EP recorded at the beautiful St David’s Hall in Petherton, Somerset. The solo EP features three live cuts from Tom’s debut album as well as two new compositions. The first is a song called “Spiral”, all about looking back at having the 9-5 job. The second a very personal song called “My Addiction” shows his well delivered vocals and his ever expanding expertise with his guitar.
Tom’s live performance is always very entertaining, he is not just another solo performer. He is always very engaging and with the use of a loop pedal keeps things very fresh reinventing a string of popular covers from bands like Dire Straits and U2. This EP is just a sample of what Tom is capable of for the full experience go and see his live show, take it from me you won’t be disappointed.
