Soulhole at Hope FM
February 26, 2014Hope Fm Studio, Bournemouth
Soulhole are one of those bands that when you see them you certainly will never forget their style and sound.
They have a mass of different influences from all areas of the music spectrum that have seemingly been put in a virtual blender to bring out a totally unique sound that combines rock, blues and funk with a dusting of soul. All five members of the band bring something excitingly different to the table that makes them stand out from the rest. There is a real deep passion in their music that inspires as you watch their performances.
As well as playing in Soulhole all the band members are equally comfortable in performing in side projects and seeking out new colorations at the many open mic nights about town. The band features unusually both father Matthew and Son Jordan both standing proudly side by side playing on stage together. These guys along with a new growing community of musicians are busy networking away to really put Bournemouth and Poole on the map.
The band came along to the Hope FM studio in Bournemouth for a chat about all what is going on in their world as well as playing a few live acoustic tracks. This took the band a little out of their comfort zone as they are more used to playing with a full electric set up. Three acoustic guitars all played with totally different styles and a Cajon was all that was needed to thrill everyone listening with four tracks that showed the band’s ease in adapting to a new situations. Soulhole regularly gig around the local area and front man Jordan runs a host of open mic nights in several venues across the area. Do yourselves a favour get along and see them at a live in a venue near you. The exclusive videos of the band’s first class performance can be seen below:
