Pass The Buck at Hope FM
December 25, 2013Hope Fm, Bournemouth
Who ever thought up the mad idea of having a barn dance on the radio? Well presenter of Hope Fm’s “Live Wire Live” show Tim Heywood certainly did!
It was a mad idea that he’s had in his head for a while, but strangely enough it worked. The show was broadcast on Christmas day and giving our listeners the chance to move back their furniture to join in; along with myself, Tim and Jon who danced in our own special way in the studio.
The band named “Pass The Buck” who were invited along to provide the music are a group of very experienced musicians fronted by the Ex Lady Winwood’s Maggot performer David Lambert and his wife “The Caller” Jennet. The band did a great job in entertaining the show’s listeners and giving them the chance to energetically take off a few pounds after their large festive meal. As well as the “dance” tunes there were also a few surprises in the form of a cover of The Waterboys classic “Fisherman’s Blues” and a very different version of “Chase The Cat” made famous by Lady Winwood’s Maggot, which was written by keyboard player Paul. As usual the Rock Regeneration team were on hand to provide some pictures and videos of this unique event for your viewing and listening pleasure.
