Hope Fm Studio, Bournemouth
Wesley Bennett and Joe Wilkinson of Bournemouth band “Hello Hawaii” came along to the Hope Fm studio in the middle of December clutching a copy of their brand new debut album “Home”.
The album was ironically recorded at home with the expert mixing and production from Wes’s very experienced father Paul Bennett, who has previously worked with some household names in his time in the music industry. Wesley’s unique vocal style and very honest approach to songwriting is very apparent on the album and there are many stand out tunes to enjoy on it, especially songs like “Mexico” and the totally impressive “Teardrops”.
Both Joe and Wesley have just enrolled in Guilford to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music, to build on their already notable musical skills. They weren’t content with bringing just the new album; they also performed a couple of exclusive new songs acoustically live in the studio to show the continuing great productivity they have, the videos for these can be found below. If you like what you hear the band can be seen on regular trips home from Guildford at Chaplin’s Cellar Bar, keep your eyes peeled on the gig listings for details.
