Sounds Like Adam at Hope FM
November 20, 2013One of Bournemouth’s most talented and creative songwriters Adam Scholey came along to the Hope Fm studio with his band “Sounds Like Adam”; and a special extra musician in the form of his Father Dean Scholey, who also has his own band Agatha’s Garden.
Also in the band keeping it in the family is Adam’s brother Dale who plays guitar. There is also the comedian of the band “Rory” who is not a Scholey but treaded like a brother all the same! Sounds Like Adam have been spreading their delightful happy Pop/Punk sound all over the local venues of Dorset and Hampshire since disbanding the previous band Voice Of Reason. Tonight’s lively banter included discussions about Adam’s day job at the Bournemouth International Centre and his perks at getting front row seats for embarrassing boy band gigs.
The band have recently penned a great tune called “Eddie’s Army” as a tribute to AFC Bournemouth’s promotion to the Championship last year. As with most bands that come along to the studio there was new music to plug and this was in the form of the latest album “About Time”, which features 10 great tracks including a song called “Life” featuring local musicians Ant Henson and Alice Short. All of Adam’s music can be heard on his bandcamp site here. Despite his very hectic schedule Rock Regeneration’s Jon Musselwhite was on hand to capture some very tasty exclusive videos which can be seen below.
