July 6, 2013Party In The Park 2013
Ashley Cross Green
Two Day Family Festival, Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September
Party in the Park was established in 2001 and each year the event has been running it has grown from strength to strength playing a vital role in bringing the local community in and around Poole together. The team at JJ PR & Events are excited to announce that this year will be the first year it will be running over two days, with more coverage and exposure than ever before. The event is a family event filled with fun and laughter with an opportunity to wine and dine at your leisure and sit back and listen to the sounds of local talented bands. The day also gives a chance to help raise money for a local charity.
The local charity chosen this year is Wessex Cancer Trust. This charity provides relief for people suffering from cancer, helps support research into the disease and helps to advance education into its causes, prevention and treatment. Karen Rhys, from Wessex Cancer Trust said, ëWe are absolutely delighted to be nominated the chosen charity for this year’s Party in the Park and we look forward to seeing you all at this hugely popular event.
Over the past decade the event has received some tremendous support from local companies such as Humphries Kirk, Ellis Jones, Goadsby, Frost & Co and Poole Audi, to name but a few. These companies have supported the event from the beginning because of the leads and recognition that they have received from their involvement in the event and now weíre thrilled to announce Meridian Lifts are the new Title Sponsor with once again support from Frost & Co, The Cow and new sponsor Fitness First.
The Green at Ashley Cross is a lovely park situated in the centre of the village with various bars and restaurants surrounding this little leafy enclave. As home to this popular mini festival, Party in the Park has become a well known and eagerly anticipated event at the end of the summer social calendar. This yearís event running over 2 days will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September so book it in your diaries now. Organised by JJ PR & Events in association with Meridian Lifts, tickets for this eagerly awaited event will be released as the sun rises on the longest day being Friday 21st June 2013 and will be very reasonably priced at £3.00 for either day or £5.00 for the weekend. The event starts each day at 12.00pm with a free for all Zumba class provided by Fitness First and then follows with an electric mix of live music wrapping up at 7.00pm. Barbeques, hog roasts, real ale and chill out lounge will also be part of this great day out for all the family plus masses of kidís entertainment, arts, crafts and much, much more. Now in its 13 year, the event promises to be the biggest and best yet.
