We also have Gemma Davies, Kev Percy (ex Ian Brown), and Andy Howard & Phil Hesketh (ex The Air of Chaos) as well as more TBA on the acoustic stage!
The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund was set up by her parents in her memory after she passed away, aged 8, having fought an 18 month battle with an aggressive childhood cancer Neuroblastoma. The aim of the fund is to provide financial grants to children in Dorset who suffer with serious chronic, life-limiting and terminal illnesses so that they may be able to have a day out or new toy which will make them smile and create cherished memories for them and their families. From the outset the trustees have worked towards providing hassle free access to funds for local families who need it. Not only do they aim to make it easy for families to apply they are the only local charity who provides non means tested grants for children suffering from any illness which is serious chronic, life limiting or terminal. Because of this it is very likely that you may know a child or of a child who would benefit from their help. The charity feels strongly that this should be a community fund, one that people feel connected with and they can see the difference it hopes to make in the local community. The Charity works closely with the local hospital children’s units so that funds can be given to those in need of it most. Over the coming months and years we hope that with your help The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund can grow into a household charity that all can contribute to and see the benefits from. So far in 2013 the charity has helped 13 children in Dorset, however there are currently over 400 children across Dorset suffering from serious chronic, life limiting or terminal illnesses, so we need to make events like The Litten Tree Festival into regular and successful events so that we can continue to raise the funds that these children so desperately need!
