CD: “Voices Of The People” by Madness In The Night
December 24, 2012We are putting out stockings, wrapping pressies away from the eyes of prying kids, and being on the South Coast piling up the sandbags.
But we are made of hearty stuff, and are therefore listening to a little Goth Rock to help bring in the cheer! (well I am)
“Madness Of The Night” are a new band from Sweden (yes, keeping it local!) have after ten years of silence, Abir and Daniel Lillman decided in the begining of 2012 to create a new band, Madness of the Night. Inspired, hard working and great feedback. Only some months and the song “We are Gothrockers and we don’t care…” became the song of the day at the swedish national radio P4. Madness of the Night was featured on Reverbnation and is currently number one on Alternative in Västerås city.
Opening with “We Are Gothrockers and we don’t care” these guys wear there hearts on their sleeves with what a no holes barred dark beat filled sound. Packed with an 80’s Goth sound, and vocals that are reminexcent of Hazel O’Connor with its power and, in places, spitting attitude.
The following 2 tracks, “The State Of Madness”, and “Voices Of The People”, are a little more hard hitting, if only for the fact they are more of a social commentary. “The State…” being more of a social observation, whilst “Voices…” is more of a political attack. However, they have Gothrock feel, but a little more acerbic.
We are putting out stockings, wrapping pressies away from the eyes of prying kids, and being on the South Coast piling up the sandbags.
“Voices of the People” has been released on MCD, and now they working on a full cd that will be released under the label, Massacre Records in the begining of 2013.
