Military Arcade

Newbury three piece Military Arcade are releasing their debut 11 track album “Revolution Is Imminent” on the February 21st 2013. After winning the award for “Best Live Band” in October 2012 at the Exposure Music Awards, they have been touted as a great new band to watch out for.

The band formed in 2009 cultivating their love for music taking influences from many areas of the music world such as Big Country, Oasis, Nirvana, Kings of Leon, Green Day and a host of numerous others. The band takes on a chosen military theme in their 2nd single “Why We Fight” raised £250 for the “Help For Heroes” charity.

Military Arcade

There are so many band’s out there today and it is difficult to break through or even grab the audience’s attention by standing out, Military Arcade have created a voice through the music and songs. Firstly above it is obvious by this album they have masses of talent which has been used in all the right places, they are really dedicated and they create music that is relevent with their time. The album is a guitar music fan’s dream with the band demonstrating some amazing skills with the iconic 6 stringed instrument, the sound is big and bold with plenty of great anthems to thrill and excite the listener. With great well put together songs such as opener “Why We Fight”, along with an anthem for ‘skint’ broken Britain ‘No Money’ and the massive “Reptilia” with the most intense piece of guitar work heard in a long time. Their hero, the late great Stuart Adamson of Big Country, I am sure would be more than impressed.

Military Arcade

Here we have an album full of massive musical influences used to create something extremely varied and original with no two songs being the same, the 11 songs takes the listener on a journey, with sometimes angry lyrics with a very positive uplifting feeling. These three young guys are certainly on to something here, with a UK tour planned in early 2013 make sure you try and catch these why you can.
