Here at Rock Regeneration we love to introduce our readers to great new local bands, one of these bands that we have reviewed a few times before are the five piece classic rock outfit “Mothership”. We are very pleased to announce that the band have just released their first full length video for a brand new song called “Rock N Roll Tonight”.

The video was filmed at the Railway music venue in Winchester and features a guitar solo that is certainly up there with the greats. Please check out the video and I am sure the band would be grateful for any comments.

Profile
Mothership are a five piece band from the Bournemouth area on the south coast of the UK. They first came together as a whole when the Jenkins brothers (Matt, Sparky and Ash) asked Steve and Josh to play bass and drums to make a complete set. Their live ventures started in January 2010 when winning “Battle of the Bands” at Highcliffe school. Since then we have enjoyed playing more and more gigs to bigger… and bigger audiences. And reached the finals of two major competitions being Road 2 the Wedge, and Talent Call 2010. We have played at venues such as the Pavilion in Bournemouth, Bournemouth O2 Academy, The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, The Joiners Southampton and the Winchester in Bournemouth. They have also released our first EP titled ‘Landed and Loaded’ with a total of six tracks which is available for £4 at gigs. As a band they pride themselves on mostly playing original songs, and having afull on energetic stage act. The sound has strong rooting in classic rock, but with elements that explore a modern sounding edge.
