Take One Car

Hot on the heels of their huge new single, “Dear Ronnie”, Take One Car’s sophomore album “It’s Going To Be A Nice Day” is out now! Having just completed their headline US multi-state album support tour, 2012 is promising to be a very exciting year for the band.

“It’s Going To Be A Nice Day” is Available NOW on Bandcamp and iTunes.

Upstate New York rockers Take One Car, have been making a name for themselves ever since their 2009 release, “When The Ceiling Meets The Floor”.

Their debut album was to precede years of relentless touring across the country for the band, earning Take One Car not only a strong local following, but the building blocks towards nationwide recognition. Take One Car have established themselves as one of the Northeast’s hardest working unsigned bands and their commitment and passion has not gone unrecognized, deservedly achieving the accolade of Alt Press/Airwalk Unsigned Hero finalists in 2010.

“The intensity behind certain tracks is immense, as well crafted build ups sneak up on you, and are then released with real prowess” – Alter The Press

Take One Car have shared the bill with some of the leading bands in their genre and beyond. On top of supporting such acts as The Dear Hunter, Minus The Bear, Moving Mountains, Circa Survive, & Thrice the band have also performed at The Bamboozle Festival two years in a row, and covered newly reformed At The Drive In’s, 2001 album, Relationship of Command in it’s entirety on a covers night at the Hoodwink Festival in 2010

Their sound has been described as similar to that of the aforementioned Thrice and At The Drive in, but the contrast between the unrelenting drums and heavy guitars with the subtleties of Tyler Irish’s delicate but assertive vocals has prevented the men from Millerton nestling comfortably into a specific genre, instead providing a set of sincere and insurmountably original tracks as Tyler, Pete, Branden & Ryan continue to challenge themselves and answer with resounding success. Their original style is captured perfectly in the beautiful video for new single “Dear Ronnie” which you can see here:

“It’s no easy task to make an album that holds true to post-hardcore, indie, and rock’s individual aesthetics, while still keeping it cohesive. Unless, of course, you’re Take One Car and are offering up sophomore album It’s Going To Be a Nice Day.” – Pure Volume
