Toby Fitton was the front man in the local Bournemouth experimental rock band “Neon Abeo” who changed their name for a short while to “Icarus 1”. Since the bands demise, Toby has written and recorded some solo material at the Ranch Production House studio in Nursing, Hampshire with Geoff Swan.
The 3 track EP named “Tobias In Flight” is quite a departure from Toby’s previous material. The songs are done in a stripped down style and features just strings, with also a keyboard introduced on “Traffic Lights”. The vocals do not disappoint with some great haunting melodic tones produced from this great voice. The tracks shows some quality song writing with a very individual sound which I am sure would sound great when performed live, when Toby gets back to performing live once again.
