Our headliner Check em out, Dorsets first ever cowpunk band, all you need to know about this band is there gonna make your face smile and your feet move.
The Papershades
http://www.myspace.com/thepapershades
Wait until you see this band, if your jaw doesn’t drop then nothing will ever excite you, simply beautiful and haunting, think Laura Marling at her chillingly best being backed by the kind of guitar playing that made Jeff Buckley melt hearts, you will not notice the half hour disappear, I assure when these two play they will have you under their spell forever
The Luminaires
http://www.myspace.com/luminairesuk
Bit biased this one, but on Tim Heywoods(Hope Fm) wordpress the first time he saw them he said they were brilliant, expect a hark back to the lush melodies of The La’s and The coral.
Andy Stock
Expect mass singalongs to Bournemouths answer to Frank Turner, Sea Road being an absolute Gem, Andy will have you laughing at his lyrical wit but his songs have a fantastic underbelly of all seriousness a classic yet modern artist
Mischa
http://www.myspace.com/mischamusicplace
Mischa has rightly become one of the most respected artists in Bournemouth, with relavent and observational lyrics and fantastic live performances it is a real treat to have Mischa performing with his band, make sure you do not miss this performance!!
Ant Lewis
http://www.myspace.com/dustycuts
Ant Lewis is something of a legend in Dorset, for sheer work ethic alone i would compare him to Damon Albarn, not only is he the face of Award winning Dusty Cuts but new project Our Blinkered Eyes has been taking the area by storm to rave reviews, a hugely collaborative musician has also appeared with the likes of Kimari Raven, and as a solo artist, if this wasn’t enough he is also the face behind the fantastic fairplay which encourages fresh new musicians into playing live, Ants talents should be recognised and having him play live for Sparkle appeal is fantastic, expect great fun reggae/punk/pop, or maybe not, you never know what magic he has up his sleeve next
Joel Gregory
Joel is just fresh from playing the O2 Academy in Islington and also the Cavern club in Liverpool, prestigous venues don’t book artists lightly, there is a reason for Joels shows in these places, he is bloody amazing, were lucky to have him headlining the Acoustic stage, Don’t Miss it!!
Dave Pearson
His music is at the best of times simply hilarious, witty lyrics, funny observations, influences Cat Empire, Weezer, great upcoming artist on the Acoustic stage
Aaron Gregory
http://www.myspace.com/aarongregorymusic
Expect a top set of mini pop numbers, favourites will be played such as Summer Days and Derby Rd, an observational writer on the back of the Poly Lake EP Release.
SugarHand (David Mackenzie)
http://www.reverbnation.com/sugarhanddave
An extraordinary artist, brings something really different to the table, plays the blues and one of the confident performers in the Dorset area, part country/part blues/part purely wonderful, sure to be an entertaining set
Just Added Ant Henson, the massively successful acoustic songwriter has a voice to kill along with rapid internet success, there is a reason for this, his songs are bloody brilliant.
DJ TBA
Tickets are just £5 (available from Champions/Bar Zuka or Band Members from 28/11/2011).
This Looks amazing!!!! Looking really forward to Aaron Gregory and KFC
